A video of Dallas Mavericks forward Kristaps Porzingis with a bloodied face outside of an establishment in his native Latvia surfaced on Sunday.

According to a statement from the Mavs, he was "jumped and assaulted", but no further details have been released at this time. The cut over Porzingus' eye is one thing but there are also reports he may have injured his hand as well.

The video appears to pick up after a fight or some sort of altercation broke out with several people yelling, Porzingis shoving a woman, and police getting involved.

Update: The Mavericks are investigating the altercation where it's believed he was jumped, assaulted, and hit by objects.

Kristaps is still recovering from a torn ACL in his left knee, the injury happened on February 6 a year ago.

Kristaps Porzingis, a player of the Dallas Mavericks, was reportedly attacked inside a nightclub in Latvia on Saturday evening.

TMZ has reported that the fight took place while Porzingis was celebrating in his hometown of Liepaja, and was confronted by a group of Russians upset that Porzingis switched teams. That's what appears to have happened with Kristaps Porzingis of the Dallas Mavericks. A fan favorite in New York, Porzingis averaged 22.7 points per game and 6.6 rebounds per game before he tore his ACL during a game on February 6, 2018 against the Milwaukee Bucks. The All-Star denied the allegations through his lawyer.
