KXIP vs KKR Live Score

News of R. Kelly having six figures worth of unpaid child support began to spread shortly after Lifetime aired its documentary that shed light on sexual assault allegations made against Kelly.

R. Kelly, born Robert Kelly, returned to Cook County Jail on Wednesday, according to inmate records.

On Wednesday, he was taken into custody over failure to pay child support and was jailed, according to the Cook County Sheriff's Office in Chicago.

After Gayle's explosive interview with Kelly, she spoke with two of the embattled R&B singer's girlfriends who defended him profusely from allegations of sexual abuse.

The singer wept, said he had little money left and blamed his ex-wife for destroying his reputation and his relationship with his children. He was tried on child pornography charges in 2008 and found not guilty.

King confirmed and continued by describing other moves Kelly took to stop the interview - though he was unsuccessful. Some - including King's friend Oprah Winfrey - even wondered if King was scared, but she said she was not.

Also in the special will be King's interview with two women now living with Kelly, Azriel Clary and Joycelyn Savage, portions of which are scheduled to air Thursday morning on CBS News' morning show, which King co-hosts. If it weren't for the gravity of the situation, R. Kelly ballistic "performance" during the Gayle King would have been repurposed as the new "crying Jordan meme" going forward.

"OK, so when I first met Robert, my parents told me to lie about my age", Clary alleged.

The victim, now 30, said she and Kelly, 52, first had sex at a hotel in Detroit on December 30, 2001 and then at the singer's recording studio in The Motor City a few weeks later. Journalists complimented King on her "masterclass" in keeping her cool as Kelly lost his. "Both our parents are basically out here trying to get money and scam". "How stupid would it be for me, with my insane past and what I've been through-oh, right, now I just think I need to be monster and hold girls against their will, chain them up in my basement, and don't let them eat, don't let them out, unless they need some shoes down the street from their uncle!"

The attorneys for both families say they have never asked for or received any money from Kelly.

The Clarys also released a statement saying that they had never sold their "daughter for a penny" nor had they ever asked Kelly for any money. On top of that, Savage said their folks are upset because the music dreams they had for them didn't pan out. "I never thought he was going to hit me", she told Oprah magazine.

The singer said "a lot of it" is on him in terms of his finances, but he denied that his money had been drained by out-of-court settlements over allegations of sexual misconduct.
