Rousey - who had her first match previous year at WrestleMania 34 - is reportedly preparing to step away following the megashow in April.
In a tearful statement on a video she posted on YouTube on November 22 a year ago, she acknowledging struggling with this choice.
Meltzer didn't indicate Rousey would leave WWE forever. Vince McMahon could always offer her a new contract, similar to deals he has made with Brock Lesnar.
Rousey, whose six title defenses of her bantamweight title remain a record for UFC women, made her WWE debut in January 2018 when she showed up at the Royal Rumble and pointed to the WrestleMania sign.
As of this writing, Rousey is scheduled to defend her Raw Women's Title against both Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 35 in New Jersey, however, her status with WWE following the big PPV is in question.
With the road to WrestleMania looming this Sunday at the annual WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view, the long-term status of "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey is quickly becoming the talk of the industry, as the former UFC icon quickly approaches her one year anniversary as a pro wrestler.
Rousey broke down a year ago in a vlog following Survivor Series, which saw her match end with her getting booed after a beatdown from Charlotte.
She said: "Sometimes I feel like I can't do it all". "We had a set timeline set, and now we aren't so sure about it because I love it so much", she said.
"Whether she wants to start a family is a private matter".
"I can't wrestle forever because I feel like I'm failing my family ..."
