On the television side of the night, Netflix and FX tied for most awards won, with FX's The Americans winning for best drama series and the Assassination of Gianni Versace winning best limited series.
Along with the film's expansion to 1,300 theaters in the US and Canada on January 11, 2019, this is 20th Century Fox's biggest domestic push for Bohemian Rhapsody, which exceeded box office expectations in the States but is nowhere near the worldwide frenzy for the film.
Despite being fired, Singer is still the credited director on the film, making for an awkward situation as the movie's cast and crew danced around his name while taking their victory lap after the film won Best Motion Picture - Drama.
