Corsi's talks could aide Mueller's team in their determination into whether Trump and his team were tied to WikiLeaks' release of hacked Democratic emails in the summer of 2016.
The spokesman for the special counsel, Peter Carr, declined comment on Friday. "He looks like he has been squeezed, but as far as I know, he refuses to lie", Stone said. I can't remember all my emails I can't remember all my phone calls, [and] I tell them that.
Earlier this month, Corsi said he expected to be criminally indicted. Corsi provided research to Stone during the campaign.
More than a dozen individuals associated with Stone have been brought in for interviews with the Mueller team and have appeared before a federal grand jury.
Corsi worked with Roger Stone who is also under investigation
Roger Stone, a longtime political adviser and friend to President Donald Trump, speaks in Boca Raton, Florida, on March 21, 2017.
Corsi injected himself into Stone's situation a year ago when he claimed that one of his own articles for InfoWars inspired Stone to predict in October 2016 that there would be trouble coming for Hillary Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta.
Stone also denied he had been given any concrete information about the Podesta emails by Corsi, saying in a statement to CBS News that his discussions with Corsi about brothers John and Tony Podesta "were strictly limited to their overseas business interests unearthed in the Panama Papers and other public sources that were writing about John and Tony's activities". Stone told the Post in October that Corsi met with Trump in 2016 and that Mueller seemed interested in those meetings.
In response to the revelation on the plea agreement, Stone told ABC News that he is not aware of any plea talks involving Corsi.
Friday's development puts increased pressure on Stone, who has been a target of Mueller's investigation for months over his connections to WikiLeaks and possible advanced knowledge of the Russian government's dissemination of emails stolen from Hillary Clinton's campaign chairman John Podesta.
