The France global has committed his future to the Blues for the next five years, much to the delight of the World Cup-winning midfielder.N'Golo Kante has signed a new contract at Chelsea, the club have confirmed.
The deal, which represents a two-year extension to the 27-year-old's previous contract, reportedly takes his wages to around £290,000-a-week, making him the highest-paid player in Chelsea history.
Hazard's deal with unbeaten Chelsea runs until June 2020 and speculation over his future at the club has intensified since his impressive displays for Belgium at the World Cup in Russian Federation.
France worldwide Kante, 27, signed from Leicester in the summer of 2016, has been ever-present in Maurizio Sarri's side this season.
The Spanish outlet claim the Blues are not confident of the Belgian signing a new contract at Stamford Bridge. 'I'm happy to extend my time with Chelsea, it has been two handsome years and I wish for more to come, ' Kante said after signing new terms.
It has been a woeful start to the campaign for Manchester United, who after just 12 Premier League games, are already 12 points behind Manchester City in eighth place in the table. 'Since I came, I completely improved as a player, challenged myself and got some awards I never thought about.
Kante played further forward in the 3-1 defeat to Tottenham on Saturday - Chelsea's first loss of the season.
The 21-year-old has netted just twice in the Premier League and is struggling to establish himself as a prominent figure at Old Trafford this term.
"The boys in the national teams, (Marcus) Rashford came with a little problem but is ready, (Romelu) Lukaku is ready, I would say ready with a little bit of a risk, but ready and Paul (Pogba) we knew with this break he would recover from that small muscular injury, so we don't have players I can say are out of the game tomorrow".
"Off the pitch, he remains a dedicated professional and a humble human being despite the fact he is a world champion and a two-time Premier League victor".
Asked if there was any progress in a new deal for playmaker Eden Hazard, Sarri added: "I don't know the movement of the contract".
