There's some sad news for Deadliest Catch fans.

Deadliest Catch star, Blake Painter, was found dead in his Astoria, Oregon home last Friday, and RadarOnline.com has exclusive details about the tragedy.

Law enforcement says a friend called the police after not hearing from the fisherman.

He said there were no signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances. Authorities said Painter had been dead for several days. An autopsy and toxicology report will be done to determine the official cause of death.

When they went to the house, they discovered his body, which was in a state of decomposition. Painter was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants, unlawful possession of heroin, tampering with physical evidence and reckless driving.

The Discovery Channel is yet to comment on Painter's death.

This isn't the first time that a star of Deadliest Catch has passed away. He was 38 years old.

Painter had been captain of the F/V Maverick, and appeared in "Deadliest Catch" episodes in 2006 and 2007. In 2010, Phil Harris, captain of the Cornelia Marie, died of a stroke while in port at St Paul Island.
